Granting

The Headingley Community Foundation (HCF) is a registered charity with Canada Revenue Agency, incorporated in 2015 for the purpose of establishing permanent endowment funds. The purpose is to assist and promote the well-being and betterment of the Headingley Community and its citizens by distributing funds to qualified donees.

The Foundation is funded by many donors, from all walks of life, and donations range from a few dollars to thousands of dollars. These donations are invested in capital funds with only the income from the investments being used for grants. The grants awarded through the Annual Grant Application Program are funded mainly by the Undesignated Fund and also by some of the Designated Funds. As our funds grow, so too does HCF’s ability to support our community.
