The Headingley Community Foundation supports the preservation and understanding of Indigenous culture, language and history through our 215 Moccasins Endowment Fund. In 2025 this fund and it's generous Donor Advisor granted $800: $400 each to both the Akiing Onji Foundation, a local Indigenous nonprofit, and to Phoenix Elementary School, in Headingley. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day to encourage all people, local governments, schools and communities to come together and create a more equitable world for future generations. Donations to 215 Moccasins in support of the NDTR are welcome and appreciated on any day. Just go to DONATE @ www.headingleyfoundation.ca and type in "215 Moccasins", as the fund you wish to support.
